We spent one night in Dolní Žleb at the former sawmill. The place has an enchanting atmosphere - the building and the embankment look almost magical. It will definitely appeal to anyone who likes industrial history and technical details. I have great admiration for the owner, who has taken great care to preserve this unique historical building for the future.
Everything matches the description. The place has its own charm. We would have enjoyed it more ourselves, but if you come across easy-going people like us, you will be allowed to be there in more tales. There is no ferry in operation at this time and there is a 2.5m bridge along the way. We were still with a loaded roof to spare, but a van with a loaded roof can be a problem. I couldn't find any other way. I definitely recommend it.

Didn't really get the vaunted shower at first, but it's really cool and an interesting form of "showering". I'd just like to mention info to other tenters (we were built-in) not to pitch, if possible, the tent right next to the shelter towards the toilet - then you avoid your own discomfort and grumbling on your part that someone is still going to the toilet and talking normally in the shelter. It's a great place to walk in a really beautiful setting. The driveway was very interesting and was a form of experience, but with our smaller built up it was totally fine even in the wet.
