The whole place is unplugged, so perfect for detoxing and being in nature. You will not only recharge your energy here, but also for your next travels. You can use the cottage for overnight stays, but also the land itself as a caravan park, or you can pitch tents - a fire pit and drinking water will be at your disposal.
The cottage itself offers a large double bed (170x273cm) and one pull-out single bed - it is designed to sleep 3 overnight guests or a family of four in comfort. For lovers of sleeping al fresco, there is also a space seamlessly connected to the cottage terrace where you can spread out your sleeping bag and watch the night sky in peace.
There is a kitchenette with a cooker, basic crockery and cooking utensils. Coffee and tea is provided, and you can also take advantage of breakfast delivery or grilled meats and cheeses from the nearby butcher shop. I always prepare everything in advance so as not to interfere with your retreat. For winter stays and chilly evenings there is a wood-burning stove.
You will also find a supply of drinking water and a dry toilet next to the hut.
A local power bank will provide the necessary phone charging, but feel free to put your phone away and let the local nature and other activities entertain you.
The hut itself can be reached in winter, but it's always a good idea to ask about the passability of the road beforehand.

Trouble-free arrival even in bad weather
The access dirt road is easily passable by standard vehicle from spring to autumn. Leave your smaller car parked at the railway station Řídký and walk the last 500m. Same with snow for sure ;) In the rain it's up to your discretion, so far we haven't experienced it being so super wet, just the car might be in for a wash afterwards :)
Restriction of the access road
There is a railway embankment crossing on the route, which is not a problem even with a long van. Significantly larger caravans or motorhomes are asked to be careful not to be left hanging on the level crossing.

Lots of cycle paths in the area, the nearest cycle path is only 1km away.
fishing
It is about 5km to the neighbouring village of Višňáry to the pond. Rules according to the association.
winter sports
In winter you can cross-country ski in the field next to the cottage, but you can also go further.
water sports
Public swimming pools in Cerekvice nad Loučnou, Litomyšl or Vysoké Mýto. More interesting are the flooded quarries around Proseč and further away.

Playgrounds in the village of Řídký, but also in the surrounding villages.
hiking
From the cottage you can walk to the neighboring villages - Cerekvice nad Loučnou, Nová Sídla, Tržek, but also Litomyšl. Another tourist destination is Růžový Palouček and this direction is a short walk to the unique nature reserve Toulovcovy Maštale. All info can be found in the manual in the cottage.

Other activities
Ice skating, outdoor games, relaxation in nature, camping for an additional fee, cultural activities can be enjoyed in Litomyšl, 6 km away, which can be reached by train (stop directly in the village of Řídký).
The lodge with land works as a "self-service" after confirming and paying for the reservation you will receive precise instructions for arrival, unlocking and the whole "check-in".
Departure is in the same spirit with photo or video documentation of the condition of the property on departure and return of the keys to the pre-arranged location ;)
Please include basic cleaning up after both yourself and your pets.

Nice little cottage, very functionally furnished. We had a decent sleep with two adults, two kindergarten kids and a big dog. The sofa bed is really small, it was enough for our little ones, but bigger kids or adults would have to snuggle on it a lot :-) The cottage has everything you need, a piddly little kitchen to heat up tea or one-pot meals, a stove, a table, three chairs, a saw, an axe... There was no coffee promised in the description, the coffee makers have to bring their own. And toilet paper for the caldron.
The kids had a blast in the playhouse, in the deflated pool, in the fire pit and watching the trains. These are probably the biggest benefit of the site. Good train connections to Litomyšl, Vysoké Mýto and Chocň make it a really nice place for train travellers.
We were a bit disappointed by the non-functioning lights in the cottage and that we could not get in touch with the owner. Fortunately, it was nothing major. More lights and candles and our headlamps solved that.
You can hear the road, but it's not a big deal. If someone wants absolute silence, they'll have to go elsewhere, but for normal functioning it's perfectly fine.
The only complaint we have is about the fire pit - throwing wood chips around the fire pit seems like a pretty big gamble to us. In the summer, we'd give the fire a lot of thought.
In any case, it was an enjoyable trip and we'll happily do it again sometime. It was a safe place for the kids, full of places to explore and no dangerous traps.
Small cabin, currently without solar charging (owner gave notice in advance). OK for one night. Mattress is very soft, fold out bunk not quite ideal for multiple nights. Wood, water, everything was in place. Own candles recommended.
We only stayed overnight, but it's a magical place and perfect for dog walkers.
The cottage was great, beautiful surroundings - we walked to a pub in Cerkekvic nad Loučnou - a very nice walk. One heart down only for the too soft mattress - it appears in more comments, I think a replacement is worth considering. Otherwise wonderful, thank you. :)
The cottage is in a nice location and thanks to the description of the owner we found it great, but after that we were not so enthusiastic. The area around the cottage is quite unkept, tall grass, lots of cobwebs, etc. We are not demanding, but for the money we would have liked something a little different. What really struck me was that Mr. Marek had asked us to purchase 2-4 packs of water in advance with the understanding that he would cover the cost. Of course we bought the waters, after an email with the receipt and a subsequent text message, we still don't have the money in our account and Mr Marek hasn't communicated with us. It was our last visit to this cottage..:(
