Unfortunately, we were not completely impressed with the place and ended up spending the night elsewhere. I guess it depends on what time of day you arrive, but the place is too busy for us. It is close to a footpath which, at the time of our visit, was very busy with cyclists and hikers.

We spent 1 rainy night on the property, so we didn't get to test the fire pit, etc. The place was pretty much tucked away in the greenery and quiet ...there is a bit of road noise and a dirt road runs past the property and occasionally someone may walk by, but it's nothing dramatic. The cottage (and furnishings) could do with a little fixing up (the roof leaked in) and a little sprucing up. I commend the rain water barrel (we had it full to the brim due to a storm) and the "shutters". All in all a fine place.
We loved it. The shelter is a fine facility even with a comfortable bed. Nice place. There's traffic from the road, but nothing too bad. Our kids mostly enjoyed looking for semi-precious stones in the dry creek... they actually found a few fragments of opal and amethyst.
We'd love to go back sometime.
The owner was helpful , nice . Everything was fine , nice quiet place . The shed saved our lives with the kids in the rain . They could play in the dry and survive the worst . We would love to come again
